The Australian Financial Review is reporting the Taiwanese airline Eva Air is poised to re enter the Sydney market. Eva Air currently has flies between Brisbane and Taipei.
Eva Air has announced they have been accepted to join the global network, the Star Alliance in 2013, and in the media release have advised they are examining how to best integrate with other partners. It is expected that by June 2012 Eva Air will make known the level of service between Sydney and Taipei. The airline is also expected to advise an increase in the services between Brisbane and Taipei.
Eva Air plans to make Taipei a core hub between Australia and mainline China. Eva Air has seven new Boeing 777s and more Airbus A330 aircraft awaiting delivery.
