Australian Aviation Magazine website is reporting resource charter FIFO operator Alliance Airlines has used its annual general meeting to announce plans to expand its aircraft fleet.

Alliance Airlines currently operates a fleet of 26 aircraft comprising of 18 Fokker 100s, 2 Fokker 70s and 6 Fokker 50s.  All but one are operational and with current contracts the airline is operating at capacity. 

Alliance was publicly listed on the ASX last December .  The airline reported a net profit after tax of $19.1 million on revenues of $184.2 million dollars.  This result was above the forecast in the IPO and about 40% more than the previous financial year.
