Following on from last years announcement of adding Brisbane to its network Garuda Airlines this month announced it will commence a daily Perth to Jarkata link.
The new daily service between Perth and Jakarta will start from 28 June. The Western Australian state government has applauded the move and see it as a further boost to the state's tourism industry.
Indonesia is Western Australia's sixth-biggest market for international visitors and is currently growing at the rate of 14 per cent per year.
The WA Government estimates Indonesian tourism contributed more then $110 million dollars to the economy. 25 per cent of all Indonesian vistors to Australia last year came through Perth Airport.
