Australian Aviation, one of Australia's premier aviation magazines, is reporting a high powered NSW Government tourism taskforce is calling for more flights to Sydney Airport in a recently released report.
The report suggests the Commonwealth Government should raise the peak hour cap at Sydney Airport from 80 to 90 aircraft movements whilst increasing the number of flights allowed between 5am and 6am from 24 to 35.
The taskforce have suggested these changes would bring in nearly $1 billion a year to the NSW economy. The increase would also assist in easing congestion at the airport.
