Virgin Australia have announced in response to strong corporate demand, they wil increase flights between Brisbane and Emerald, Newcastle and Rockhampton.

Additional services between Brisbane and Emerald will commence on 29 October 2012, while from 12 November 2012 new flights will commence between Brisbane and Newcastle and also Brisbane and Rockhampton.

The week day services between Brisbane and Emerald will increase from three to four per day. Sunday services will increase from two to three and a flight will also be introduced on Saturdays for the first time.

These services will be operated by ATR-72 turboprop aircraft, adding 950 seats per week to the route.

The weekday services between Brisbane and Newcastle will increase from two to three per day. Weekend services will remain at two per day.

These services will be operated by Fokker 100 aircraft, adding 1,000 seats per week to the route.

The flight frequency between Brisbane and Rockhampton will increase from seven to eight every weekday, with the addition of a new peak afternoon service.

These services will be operated by ATR-72 turboprop aircraft, adding 500 seats per week to the route.
