Australian Aviation magazine and the Australian newspaper are reporting that the Indonesian carrier Garuda Airlines will  restart direct flights between Brisbane and Indonesia after a three year hiatus.

Garuda will recommence the flights from August 2013, offering a six return services a week between Brisbane and Denpasar with onward connections to Jakarta using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The airline is now seeking to cash in on growth in travel demand between Australia and Indonesia, which in the first half of this year increased 20 per cent over the same period last year.
