Over the last month there have been announcements  of increased flights from Malaysia to Australia by several sources.

Australian Aviation is reporting from November 1st 2013 Malaysian Airlines will be re introducing a service between Darwin and Kuala Lumpur ending a ten year absence from the top end.  This follows on from recent announcements by Air Asia X and Philippine Airlines announcing flights to Darwin.  Malaysian Airlines will fly 5 times a week from Darwin utilizing Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Australian Aviation is also reporting Malaysian low-cost airline Air Asia X will be increasing it flights between Gold Coast and Kuala Lumpur from 5 times a week to a daily service from mid November.  This increase will add another 60,000 seats a year between the two cities.  Last year Gold Coast Airport experienced a 31 per cent increase in international tourism over the previous year with these extra flights indicative of the growing demand.

ABC News is quoting a South Australian government announcement today, that from 31 October Air Asia X will be introducing five flights a week between Adelaide and Kuala Lumpur.  The SA Government are hoping the service will inject $30 million into the local economy and create about 170 jobs.
